IMPORTANT: The adjacent MK5n Swerve Modules on a typical drivetrain are mirrored from each other, and are consequently different kit versions ("A" and "B"). Scroll down to review how the conversion kit is ordered.
This kit contains everything needed to convert a MK5i Swerve Module to a MK5n Swerve Module.
Since the MK5i and MK5n use the same drive pinion gears, and the steering motor for the MK5n must be a Kraken X44, this conversion kit contains no drive motor-specific parts (this conversion kit includes the steering pinion gear kit for a Kraken X44). If you want to also convert the drive motor, then additionally order the MK5 Drive Pinion Gear Kit in the configuration that goes with the drive motor you will be using.
Order examples:
- To convert a NEO MK5i Swerve Module to a MK5n Swerve Module with a NEO drive motor (the steering motor must be a Kraken X44 regardless of the drive motor), order just this conversion kit.
- To convert a NEO MK5i Swerve Module to a Kraken MK5n Swerve Module, order this conversion kit, as well as the MK5 Drive Pinion Gear Kit for Kraken X60.
Because the MK5n Swerve Module does not have a symmetric footprint, a mirrored layout is required. The two layouts are known as "A" and "B". The following illustrates the two swerve module layouts in a typical drivetrain:
Important Ordering Information. Unless you specify otherwise in the Special Instructions field in the Cart (only visible when there is at least one product in the cart):
- Orders with an even number of conversion kits will receive an equal number of A and B versions. If you want a different quantity of the A and B versions, indicate it in the Cart's Special Instructions field.
- Orders with an odd number of conversion kits will receive the maximum equal number of A and B versions, and then either an A or B version for the final conversion kit. If you want a different quantity of the A and B versions, indicate it in the Cart's Special Instructions field.
The parts unique to Layout "A" will only work with a MK5n "A" Swerve Module, and the parts unique to Layout "B" will only work with a MK5n "B" Swerve Module.
